About
AI governance needs people who understand DC. GW has them.
Artificial intelligence systems have improved exponentially over the last five years, unlocking new possibilities while also unleashing new dangers. However, the government’s ability to respond to AI has not kept pace.
We need people in government — in both parties, at all levels of administration — who understand this technology and can govern it responsibly. We believe we can help alleviate the US government’s talent shortage by cultivating the next generation of AI policymakers and providing GW students resources to launch their AI policy careers.
What we do
Three tracks.
General Interest Track
Open to every GW student, no application needed. Come for speaker events, workshops, and a growing library of AI policy resources, as often or as rarely as you like.
The Fellowship
Our semester-long cohort program: weekly workshops on AI governance fundamentals, one-on-one career advising, and invite-only networking events.
Become an Organizer
For students who want to build it, not just attend it. Organizers shape AIPA’s programming, run our events, and work directly with the speakers and partners behind them.
